Popular Nigerian social media influencer VeryDarkMan and singer Seun Kuti have reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram, sparking widespread speculation about a possible rift between the two public figures.
The development comes at a time when VeryDarkMan is already involved in a legal dispute with entrepreneur Blord, adding further attention to his online presence. The sudden ce in social media interaction between the influencer and the Afrobeat singer has fueled discussions across digital platforms.
Tension rumors intensified after Seun Kuti posted a message on his Instagram story, where he appeared to mock VeryDarkMan’s fanbase, popularly known as “Ratel.” In the post, he wrote that they were “rats, not ratels,” a comment that quickly went viral and drew mixed reactions from followers.
The situation is particularly surprising to many observers, as VeryDarkMan had previously shown public support for Seun Kuti during his dispute involving singer Wizkid over comments linked to the legacy of Fela Kuti, Seun’s father and Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti.
VeryDarkMan has also been closely associated with the Kuti family in recent weeks, including a visit to Fela Kuti’s gravesite, where he reportedly performed a ritual involving a ram.
As of now, neither VeryDarkMan nor Seun Kuti has issued an official statement explaining the reason behind their apparent fallout, leaving fans to speculate about the true cause of the social media split.
