Top European clubs Manchester City, Chelsea, Inter Milan, and Juventus are set to clash in a series of high profile preseason friendlies in Hong Kong this August, promising an exciting spectacle for fans across Asia.

The tournament will kick off on Saturday August 1, when Manchester City led by manager Pep Guardiola face Inter Milan. The Premier League champions will rely on star striker Erling Haaland, whose goal scoring prowess has made him one of the most feared forwards in world football.

The matches will be held at the state of the art Kai Tak Stadium, a 50000 seat facility equipped with a retractable roof and air conditioning, designed to handle the city’s intense summer heat and humidity.

The mini tournament will conclude on Wednesday August 5 with Chelsea taking on Juventus. The Italian giants, currently chasing domestic and European success, boast a strong squad that includes Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic, while Inter Milan continue their Serie A dominance under coach Cristian Chivu.

Chelsea, now managed by Liam Rosenior, will be looking to bounce back from inconsistent domestic form and recent European disappointment. Key player Cole Palmer is expected to play a crucial role as the club aims to regain momentum ahead of the new season.

Fans will also have the opportunity to attend open training sessions, offering a rare chance to see elite players up close. The event adds to Hong Kong’s growing reputation as a hub for major football events, following successful preseason tours featuring top clubs in recent years.

The football festival will further expand with additional fixtures, including a friendly featuring Bayern Munich and Aston Villa later in the week.

With thousands expected to attend, the Hong Kong Football Festival is set to deliver world class football action and unforgettable experiences for supporters.
