Bobrisky Allegedly Pays SAN N5 Million for Federal Government Pardon Over EFCC Charges

Controversial Nigerian -dresser Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, is making headlines again reportedly revealing paid N5 million upfront to a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). The payment was allegedly made as part of efforts to a Government pardon related to money laundering filed against him by the and Financial Commission (EFCC).

According to Bobrisky, the SAN initially demanded N10 million for the service. However, he explained that he couldn’t raise the full amount due to frozen bank account, a consequence of the ongoing EFCC investigation. This revelation came from a video shared by social media influencer Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), on October 7, 2024.

VDM disclosed that the call recording with Bobrisky took place on May 16, 2024. In the audio clip, Bobrisky detailed how his godfather intervened by the initial N5 million, securing an arrangement for him to stay in a well-furnished apartment near the . Bobrisky clarified rumors surrounding his incarceration, stating, “I’m not in prison, but I’m around there. They got me an apartment because of my godfather… Let the world think that, but you will never.”

He further mentioned that while he is scheduled to complete his by July, he could be released earlier if the amnesty request, submitted by the SAN, is . Despite his current situation, Bobrisky expressed optimism, noting that his legal team has already submitted the necessary for the pardon.
