Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has dismissed viral claims linking her to the alleged re arrest of social media influencer Big Ayo, describing the reports as false and misleading.

The controversy began after rumours circulated online suggesting that the actress was responsible for another arrest involving the influencer following a dispute between both parties in 2024. The allegation quickly gained attention across social media platforms before being debunked.

In a public response, Abraham insisted she had no involvement in any arrest, stating that she was on a movie set at the time the claims surfaced. She urged the public to disregard the reports, stressing that the story was entirely false.

According to a statement issued on her behalf by Prince Adeshina, the actress was actively engaged in filming and had no connection to the incident. The statement also warned against spreading unverified claims and noted that the originator of the rumour may be required to provide evidence.

An updated clarification further stated that while Big Ayo was indeed arrested, the action was reportedly carried out by a private citizen over alleged defamation and not at the request or instruction of the actress.

Toyin Abraham later reposted both clarifications on social media, reaffirming her distance from the controversy and reiterating that she had no role in the matter.

The situation has since sparked widespread discussion online, with many calling for caution in sharing unverified information involving public figures.
