Real Madrid is reportedly interested in Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra, a 22-year-old who initially reached a verbal agreement with Manchester United earlier this summer, although that move didn’t materialize. Subsequently, Guerra signed a contract extension with Valencia, which now runs until 2029. Despite this, Real Madrid is considering him a long-term target.

Guerra has a release clause of €100 million, but due to financial issues, Valencia might accept offers around €50 million. Manchester United had sought Guerra to address a deeper midfield role but redirected their summer spending towards players like Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, and Senne Lammens.

Additionally, Real Madrid is exploring a potential swap deal involving Dani Ceballos for Guerra, but both Ceballos and Valencia are reportedly not keen on this option. While Real Madrid has a significant appeal, especially to Spanish players, Manchester United has also proven capable of winning transfer battles, as shown by their successful acquisition of Leny Yoro over Madrid.

Currently, Guerra’s market valuation is approximately €25 million, according to Transfermarkt. Real Madrid’s interest in him underscores their ongoing strategy to enhance their midfield options.
