The Dangote Group has announced a reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, to N970 per litre for marketers. This represents a N20 decrease from the previous price of N990 per litre.
The Group’s spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina, revealed this development in a statement, emphasizing the company’s commitment to quality and its appreciation for public and government support.
“Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the prevailing price of its Premium Motor Spirit from N990/litre to N970/litre for marketers,” the statement read.
As the year approaches its end, the company described this move as a gesture of gratitude to Nigerians for their unwavering support in making the refinery project a success. Chiejina also assured the public of continued production to meet and exceed domestic fuel consumption, addressing any concerns about supply shortages.
The spokesperson reaffirmed the company’s dedication to delivering high-quality, environmentally friendly, and sustainable petroleum products.
This price reduction follows an agreement between the Dangote Refinery and the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria for direct fuel purchases.
Currently, petrol prices at filling stations across Nigeria range from N1,060 to N1,115 per litre.
