Chelsea Football Club have confirmed that midfielder Moises Caicedo has signed a new long term contract that will keep him at the club until 2033.
The Ecuador international, who joined Chelsea from Brighton and Hove Albion in August 2023, has quickly become one of the most influential players in the squad. Since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, Caicedo has made 140 appearances and played a crucial role in the team’s recent successes, including winning the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Speaking after putting pen to paper on the new deal, the 24 year old expressed his excitement and dedication to the club’s long term vision. He said he believes in the direction the team is heading and is eager to achieve more success in the years ahead.
“I am very happy to extend my contract at Chelsea. I believe in this team and we are moving in the right direction. There is still a lot to achieve and I want to keep improving and winning trophies,” Caicedo said.
During his time at the club, Caicedo has scored eight goals, including a strike that earned Chelsea’s Goal of the Season award in 2024. He has also received individual recognition, winning both the Supporters Player of the Season and the Players Player of the Season last campaign.
This season, Caicedo has taken on additional leadership responsibilities, captaining the team on several occasions, including a recent fixture against Manchester City.
Chelsea described the contract extension as a major step in securing the future of a key player, as the club continues to build a competitive squad capable of sustained success.
