Supporters of the All Progressives Congress gathered at Birnin Kebbi Stadium on Saturday for a unity rally, reaffirming their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris, who addressed the large crowd, described the turnout as a strong show of confidence in both his administration and the leadership of the president. He expressed appreciation for what he called unprecedented support from the people of the state.
According to Idris, the rally highlighted growing unity within the party and reinforced commitment to continued governance at both the state and federal levels. He assured supporters that his administration would sustain efforts to deliver democratic dividends in line with their expectations.
The governor also pointed to what he described as increased federal presence in Kebbi State, linking it to the alignment between the state government and the administration of President Tinubu. He suggested that such cooperation would bring more development opportunities to the region.
The event attracted several prominent party figures, including the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Atiku Bagudu, Senator Muhammadu Adamu Aliero, APC National Organising Secretary Suleiman Argungu, and former Kebbi State Governor Saidu Nasamu Dakingari.
Party leaders at the rally emphasized that the gathering symbolized unity and readiness within the APC as preparations gradually begin for the next electoral cycle.
The rally is seen as part of broader political mobilization efforts across the country, with stakeholders positioning themselves and consolidating support ahead of the 2027 elections.
