Yobe State Governor Constitutes Committee on New National Minimum Wage Implementation

Governor Mai Mala Buni of State has the formation of a 10-member committee to oversee the implementation of the new national wage recently approved by the government. This announcement was made in a statement signed by the Head of Civil , Hamidu M. Alhaji, on Thursday.

According to the statement, the to the State Government, Baba Malam Wali, will serve as the committee’s , while the Head of the Civil Service, Hamidu M. Alhaji, will act as the Co-Chairman. The Permanent Secretary of Establishment, Shuaibu Ibrahim Amshi, and the Permanent Secretary of the Public Service , Alhaji Dr. Bukar Kilo, have been appointed as the committee’s secretary and co-secretary, respectively.

The committee also includes such as the Commissioner of , Alhaji Mohammed Abatcha Geidam, the Commissioner of Budget and Economic , Alhaji Garba Gagiyo, and the Commissioner of Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Adamu Jajere. members are the State Accountant General, the Chairman of the Nigeria Labour (NLC), Comrade Mukhtar Musa Tarabutu, and the representative of the Union Congress (TUC), Bulama Musa.

The committee has been tasked with developing strategies to ensure the implementation of the new minimum wage in Yobe State. It will assess the financial of the new wage structure for both the state and local government . The committee is also expected to make recommendations for the government’s consideration to ensure smooth execution.
