Miroslav Tanjga, a close friend and former teammate of Jurgen Klopp at Mainz, has revealed that the renowned German coach has two dream jobs left before he retires. According to Tanjga, Klopp has expressed his desire to coach both Real Madrid and the German national team.
Klopp, who left his position as Liverpool manager last summer and was succeeded by Arne Slot, now serves as the Head of Global Soccer for the Red Bull group. Despite his current role, Tanjga shared that Klopp’s aspirations include managing Real Madrid, especially as the Spanish giants are expected to part ways with Carlo Ancelotti soon. The second position on Klopp’s wish list is leading the German national team.
Tanjga stated, “What Klopp told me when he left Liverpool was that he had two wishes: to be the coach of the national team and of Real Madrid.” While acknowledging that these positions are not guaranteed, he noted that Klopp is undoubtedly one of the top candidates for the Real Madrid job. However, Tanjga emphasized that any talk of these moves is purely speculative for now. He also mentioned that Klopp has never envisioned managing another English team besides Liverpool and has no interest in coaching in Serie A or France. Tanjga believes that eventually, Klopp will take the helm of the German national team.
