Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has endorsed U.S. President Donald Trump’s 20-point peace plan aimed at resolving the Gaza conflict. Announced during a press conference on September 29, 2025, Netanyahu highlighted that the plan aligns with Israeli goals, such as the return of hostages, dismantling Hamas’ military capabilities, and preventing future threats from Gaza.
The plan proposes establishing an international transitional government in Gaza, overseen by a board including Trump and former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, focusing on redevelopment and security. Netanyahu opposed the creation of a Palestinian state, claiming it would reward terrorism and pose a threat to Israeli security.
