OutKast, the pioneering hip-hop duo from , has been eligible for induction since 2019 and received their first nomination this year. for their genre-defying hits like “Hey Ya!” and “Ms. Jackson,” OutKast has not performed together in over a decade. The White Stripes, consisting of Jack and Meg White, led the garage rock revival of the early 2000s with songs like “Seven Nation ” and “Fell in Love With a Girl.” The duo disbanded in 2011, and while no official plans for a reunion have been announced, anticipation remains high among fans. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has a history of high-profile reunions, including those of Led Zeppelin, Cream, and Talking Heads, but it remains uncertain if The White Stripes will reunite for the 2025 ceremony.

Soundgarden, the Seattle-born band that took the Pacific Northwest’s grunge scene by storm with songs like “Black Hole Sun” and “Fell on Black Days,” has been nominated times before finally securing a spot in the Hall. Following the death of lead singer Cornell in 2017, the surviving members have reunited on several occasions, most recently in 2024 for a benefit show under the name Nudedragons. While a reunion with a vocalist for the induction ceremony remains uncertain, the surviving members have expressed a to Cornell’s legacy.
