The 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction class has been announced, featuring a diverse array of influential artists, including OutKast, The White Stripes, and Soundgarden. This year’s ceremony is set to take place on November 8 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, with live streaming available on Disney.

OutKast, the pioneering hip-hop duo from Atlanta, has been eligible for induction since 2019 and received their first nomination this year. Known for their genre-defying hits like “Hey Ya!” and “Ms. Jackson,” OutKast has not performed together in over a decade. Despite this, the duo has expressed gratitude for the recognition, with André 3000 stating, “We’re further away from it than we’ve ever been. I think it’s a chemistry thing. We have to be wanting to do it.”

The White Stripes, consisting of Jack and Meg White, led the garage rock revival of the early 2000s with songs like “Seven Nation Army” and “Fell in Love With a Girl.” The duo disbanded in 2011, and while no official plans for a reunion have been announced, anticipation remains high among fans. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has a history of high-profile reunions, including those of Led Zeppelin, Cream, and Talking Heads, but it remains uncertain if The White Stripes will reunite for the 2025 ceremony.

Soundgarden, the Seattle-born band that took the Pacific Northwest’s grunge scene by storm with songs like “Black Hole Sun” and “Fell on Black Days,” has been nominated three times before finally securing a spot in the Hall. Following the death of lead singer Chris Cornell in 2017, the surviving members have reunited on several occasions, most recently in December 2024 for a benefit show under the name Nudedragons. While a full reunion with a guest vocalist for the induction ceremony remains uncertain, the surviving members have expressed a desire to honor Cornell’s legacy.

The induction of these artists highlights the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s ongoing commitment to musical diversity and the recognition of influential acts across genres. Fans eagerly await the ceremony, hoping for memorable performances and potential reunions that celebrate the enduring impact of these iconic bands.
