Transcorp Hotels Posts Record N97 Billion Revenue, Profit Soars in 2025

Transcorp Hotels Plc, the hospitality subsidiary of Transnational Corporation Plc, has recorded a historic N97.04 billion revenue in 2025, marking a 38 per cent increase from N70.13 billion in 2024. The audited financial results, filed with the Nigerian Exchange Limited, show the company’s strongest performance to date.

The growth was driven by increased demand across room bookings, conferencing, food and beverage services, and other ancillary offerings. The company’s gross profit margin expanded to 77 per cent from 71 per cent in the previous year, reflecting operational efficiency and effective cost management.

Operating profit rose to N35.24 billion, up 35 per cent from N26.03 billion in 2024, while profit before tax climbed 45 per cent to N32.82 billion. Profit after tax surged 47 per cent to N21.85 billion, signaling strong financial health and resilience.

In a statement, the Board Chair, Dr Awele Elumelu, praised the leadership of MD/CEO Uzoamaka Oshogwe, noting the company’s growing asset base and equity, which rose 14 per cent and 18 per cent, respectively. Elumelu emphasized a focus on operational excellence and sustainable long-term value creation.

CEO Uzoamaka Oshogwe highlighted the company’s commitment to transformative infrastructure investment, including the 5,000-seat world-class Transcorp Centre, positioning Nigeria as a top destination for high-profile events such as Afreximbank Annual Meetings and ECOWAS Summits. She also noted retained earnings rose to N77.53 billion, enhancing the company’s long-term growth capacity.

The company’s total assets reached N159.91 billion, up from N140.70 billion, reflecting strategic investments in physical facilities, while total equity increased to N95.23 billion.

Transcorp Hotels’ record-breaking performance cements its position as a leading player in Nigeria’s hospitality sector and sets the stage for further growth across Africa.
