Tinubu’s Work Causes Strong APC Backing in Gombe, Says APC Leader Jago

Mr Abdullahi Jalo, an APC leader in Gombe, says President Bola Tinubu’s record is the main reason the president enjoys wide support in the state.

Speaking in Gombe, Jalo said the Tinubu administration’s results, especially in health and education, won many votes. He told reporters that the health sector now serves not only Gombe but parts of the North East and nearby countries because of federal projects and interventions.

He said Tinubu, working with Governor Inuwa Yahaya, set up a Federal Medical Centre in Kumo, in Akko Local Government Area, and moved to upgrade and transfer the Snakebite Treatment and Research Centre, Kaltungo, to boost training and local production of anti‑snake venom. He said these steps would help states across the region and neighbouring nations.

“President Tinubu has also approved the establishment of two critical federal institutions including the Federal Orthopaedic Hospital, Billiri, and a Federal College of Education (Special) in Dukku.

“The hospital will serve not only Gombe State but also neighbouring states in the North East, significantly improving healthcare outcomes for trauma and orthopaedic patients.

“When people see development around them, they naturally align with the government delivering it.

“This is why I said he doesn’t need to campaign because we need him to continue these good works for the benefit of the people,” he said.

Jalo, a former deputy national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), added that no opposition candidate has a record to match Tinubu’s in Gombe. He said Tinubu’s and Governor Yahaya’s visible projects will make campaigning easy for APC members.

He urged party members to stay united and keep backing the governor and the president so they can deliver more for the state.
