Some lives pass quietly; others leave echoes that continue long after they are gone. Mrs Amaka Josephine Modebe (née Obiofuma), my beloved wife, belonged to the latter. She was a woman of grace, strength, and quiet dignity, whose presence brought comfort, inspiration, and warmth to everyone around her. Her kindness, wisdom, and steadfast spirit continue to resonate in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
To our family, she was far more than a wife, mother, or sister she was the heart that held us together. Her love was generous and unwavering, her guidance constant, and her faith and optimism a pillar in both times of difficulty and moments of joy. The lessons she imparted on integrity, perseverance, and compassion remain deeply rooted in our lives, ensuring her legacy continues to guide us.
Professionally, Amaka was a journalist of rare conviction and empathy.
