Last week, FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta testified in court regarding the Negreira case, with the hearing still ongoing.

After giving his testimony, Laporta was questioned by lawyers representing Real Madrid, who are acting as private prosecutors in the case.

Reports now reveal that Real Madrid is upset with the lawyers representing La Liga and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) for their lack of action during Laporta’s testimony before the judge investigating the Negreira case.

Real Madrid feels outraged by the silence of these two governing bos during the hearing.

Sources from Real Madrid said, “Their passivity reflects the lack of interest they have in getting to the bottom of the matter.”

Both RFEF and La Liga sent legal representatives to the Ciutat de la Justicia in Barcelona.

Beatriz Seijo, a criminal law expert and member of the Galician Committee of Sports Justice, attended on behalf of the RFEF but did not ask any questions.

Francisco Martinez, sent by La Liga president Javier Tebas, asked only one question about whether Enriquez Negreira’s son accompanied referees to Camp Nou.

Real Madrid was angered by the lack of action from both lawyers, though they were not surprised.

They see this as expected, especially after comments from Fran Soto, the president of the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA), who said about the Negreira case: “It is an issue that causes us quite a lot of damage, and the sooner it ends, the better for everyone. We have to forget it and leave it behind.”

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez also expressed frustration, questioning Barcelona’s motives and criticizing La Liga and RFEF for their passive approach.

Real Madrid has made it clear they will not drop the case and will continue as private prosecutors until the courts make a final decision.

  • Real Madrid has a point! La Liga and RFEF need to step up and address the Negreira case testimony. Its time for transparency.

  • Do you think Real Madrid has a valid point or are they just stirring up drama? Curious to hear everyones thoughts on this!

  • I cant believe the drama with Laportas testimony! Real Madrid has a point, but can we focus on the game already? 🙄
