A group of elected deputies within the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has firmly stated that Ambassador Umar Damagum will continue to hold the position of Acting National Chairman of the party until December 2025. This was declared by Deputy National Youth Leader, Timothy Osadolor, during a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday.

Osadolor emphasized that the matter concerning the leadership roles of the national Chairman and Secretary is “a settled matter,” citing current court judgments that support this stance. He went on to urge party members and leaders who disagree with the party’s constitution and these legal decisions to consider leaving rather than staying to potentially harm the party’s reputation through dissent.
