The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has recounted a striking testimony about receiving and managing expensive gifts during the early days of his ministry.

Speaking at a recent thanksgiving service, Pastor Adeboye shared how an elderly woman once gifted him a Mercedes Benz at a time when he was still commuting by bus.

“I almost said, ‘Alakoba wo le leyi?’ I hope this one is not trying to get me into trouble,” he said, describing his initial confusion about the car.

He parked the vehicle and avoided using it until he was later cautioned in a dream by God, who said:

“Why are you robbing my daughter of her blessing? She sowed a seed, and you are not allowing the seed to germinate.”

Following this guidance, Pastor Adeboye gave the car to his late deputy, Pastor Abiodun, who suggested he enjoy the gift himself. However, Adeboye insisted on giving it away.

Soon after, he received three additional Mercedes Benz cars, an experience he called astonishing. During this period, a man arrived at his house at 2:00 a.m. with a rare six-door Mercedes limousine, claiming God had instructed him to deliver it immediately.

Pastor Adeboye said he prayed and received divine permission to sell the luxury car, using the proceeds to buy motorcycles for his pastors, continuing his commitment to generosity and service.

This testimony highlights Pastor Adeboye’s focus on stewardship and using blessings to support others rather than personal gain.
