Ondo Governor Confirms Appointment of 32 Permanent Secretaries

The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has approved the confirmation and appointment of 32 officers as Permanent Secretaries in the state civil service, in a move aimed at strengthening governance and improving public service delivery.

The appointments were announced on Monday in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Ebenezer Adeniyan, and shared via the official X handle of the Ondo State Government. According to the statement, the confirmations take effect from February 1, 2026, while the swearing in ceremony will be held on a date to be announced later.

Among those confirmed are Mrs Tayo Ogundare, Mrs Morayo Bayo Philip, Adeyemi Sule, Mrs Olufunso Tunji Omoniyi, Olanrewaju Abiodun, Tope Lebile, Stephen Aworere, Omotayo Akeju, Olufemi Moyinolorun, Olakunle Ajibade, Mrs Oluwakemi Akinyemi, and Bamidele Daisi.

Others include Akinluyi Omotola, Olumide Kinga, Mrs Ope Adetoye, Olusiji Olatunji, Mrs Oluseyi Odusola, Mrs Funke Adelayi, Dr Akindele Ige, Olanrewaju Akarakiri, Dr Mrs Abike Ilawole, Tpl Abimbola Tofowomo, Kolawole Kayode, Dr Peter Akingbade, Ayodeji Ogudare, Adeduro Akinbola, Ibidapo Ojo, Olusegun Orisabinone, Surv Idowu Owolabi, Adeoye O Atibioke, Mrs Toyin Awotoye, and Ayodeji Ayeku.

In addition to the Permanent Secretaries, Governor Aiyedatiwa also confirmed key statutory appointments. Olusola Sunday Ajayi was named Statistician General, while Dr Charles Tunde Ojuolape was confirmed as Auditor General for Local Governments, subject to clearance by the Ondo State House of Assembly.

The governor said the appointments form part of his broader efforts to reposition the Ondo State civil service for greater efficiency, professionalism, and improved service delivery. The move follows earlier initiatives, including the provision of operational vehicles to previously appointed Permanent Secretaries.
