Enugu Rangers continued their impressive run in the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) with a 4–2 home victory over Wolves on Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium. Striker Godwin Obaje set the tone early, scoring twice within the first 12 minutes to give Rangers a commanding lead. Although Israel Oladeji pulled one back for Wolves in the 56th minute, midfielder Chimobi Igwilo restored the two-goal advantage with strikes in the 71st and 76th minutes. A late penalty by Seth Mayi was merely a consolation for Wolves. The win lifted Rangers into the top four with 36 points, overtaking Ikorodu City.

Meanwhile, at Umuahia Township Stadium, Nasarawa United produced a stunning comeback to defeat Abia Warriors 2–1, handing the hosts their first home loss of the season. Chukwuemeka Obioma initially gave Abia the lead in the 42nd minute, but Nasarawa hit back immediately after the break, with Habibu Alakija equalising in the 47th minute and JoFrank Istifanus completing the turnaround in the 55th. The victory moved Nasarawa United into second place on 38 points, three behind league leaders Rivers United.
