Nottingham Forest secures French striker Arnaud Kalimuendo from Stade Rennais for £26 million, bolstering their attack ahead of the new Premier League season.

Nottingham Forest has bolstered lineup by securing the services of striker Kalimuendo from Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais. The 23-year-old forward has a five-year contract with the Premier club, with the fee reported to be approximately £26 million.

Kalimuendo began at Saint-Germain’s academy, making his senior debut in 2020. He then had two successful loan spells at RC Lens, scoring 21 in 65 appearances. In August 2022, he joined Stade Rennais, where he continued to impress, netting 40 goals in 112 appearances across all competitions. During the 2024–25 season, Kalimuendo was particularly prolific, scoring 18 goals and providing four assists in 34 Ligue 1 .

Internationally, Kalimuendo represented France at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, contributing to the team’s silver medal finish. His performances have attracted from several European clubs, with Nottingham Forest emerging as the frontrunner in securing his signature.

Expressing his enthusiasm about the move, Kalimuendo stated, “This is a proud moment for me, joining a team who had a season last year and a club with history.” He added, “I’m ready for the challenge, and I arrive here with good experience.

Nottingham Forest’s recent spending spree has significantly strengthened their squad of the new Premier League season. These acquisitions underscore the club’s ambition to build on their impressive seventh- finish in the 2024–25 season and their return to European competition for the first time since 1996.
