Nollywood Actor Eso Dike Reveals It Took Seven Years to Earn First N1 Million

Nollywood actor Eso Dike has opened up about the financial struggles he faced in the early stages of his acting career, revealing that it took him over seven years to earn his first N1 million.

Speaking in an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Dike described the period as challenging but formative. “It took me more than seven years to make my first one million naira bulk as an actor,” he said. “I am not a portrayer of suffering. So even if I’m suffering, you won’t know. But before I got one million naira bulk, it took some time. Probably eight or seven years.”

Dike, who studied law and was called to the bar, initially ventured into acting with appearances in popular TV shows such as Tinsel. He later gained wider recognition for his roles in The Smart Money Woman, Game On, and Ricordi.

Despite the slow start, Dike has steadily built a successful career in Nollywood, starring in several commercially successful films.
