Nigerian British Actress Wunmi Mosaku Earns Nomination at the 98th Academy Awards

The 98th edition of the prestigious Academy Awards, widely known as the Oscars, is set to take place on Sunday, March 15, 2026, bringing together some of the biggest names in the global film industry. This year’s ceremony will also feature a strong connection to Nigeria as Nigerian British actress Wunmi Mosaku secured a nomination for her performance in the film Sinners.

The Best Actress category features strong contenders including Emma Stone, Jessie Buckley, Rose Byrne, Kate Hudson, and Renate Reinsve.
