This announcement was communicated by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, through a statement from the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, on December 22, 2025.

In his message, Dr. Tunji-Ojo extended heartfelt Christmas and New Year wishes to Christians in Nigeria and worldwide.
