Troops of the Nigerian Army have achieved significant operational victories in the past 24 hours, rescuing kidnapped victims, arresting criminals, and dismantling illegal operations across the country.

According to a military source, under Operation FANSAN YAMMA, four kidnapping victims were rescued in the Yarsenta area of the North-West. The victims, initially abducted on January 26 from Makera Village in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State, were found wandering in the bush and returned safely. Troops in Zamfara State also maintained aggressive patrols to restrict bandit movements and reassure local communities through intelligence-led operations.

In Kogi State, under Operation MESA, the army intercepted a surrendered bandit linked to notorious gangs, recovering a locally made firearm and a mobile phone. In the South-South region, Joint Task Force troops foiled a security breach when a suspected impostor attempted to access a military formation.
