The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has decorated 265 officers and men with new ranks following their recent promotions approved by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board.

The ceremony, held at the Command Headquarters in Kano, was presided over by the State Commandant, Mohammed Hassan Agalama. In a statement released by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, Commandant Agalama congratulated the newly promoted officers, describing the elevation as a recognition of dedication, discipline, and commitment to duty.

“Your elevation is in recognition of your dedication, discipline, selfless service, and commitment to duty,” the commandant said. He encouraged the officers to see their new ranks as a call to higher responsibility and continued service.

Commandant Agalama also emphasized the importance of upholding the Corps’ core values—integrity, patriotism, loyalty, professionalism, and respect for constituted authority—while warning against indiscipline and unprofessional conduct. “The Command will not tolerate any behaviour capable of bringing the Corps into disrepute,” he stated.

Highlighting the significance of professionalism, teamwork, and adherence to operational guidelines, the commandant noted that these principles remain critical to achieving the NSCDC’s mandate of protecting critical national assets and ensuring public safety across Kano State.

The event was attended by key dignitaries, including Abdulhakim Kamilu Ado, member representing Wudil/Garko Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, senior officers of the Command, representatives of sister security agencies, as well as family members and well-wishers.
