Governor Abba Yusuf has dismissed the Commissioner for Investment, Commerce and Industry, Shehu Wada Sagagi, with immediate effect as part of a broader effort to reposition his administration.

The announcement was made in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature. According to the statement, the former commissioner has been directed to hand over the affairs of the ministry to the Director of Commerce without delay.

Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation for Sagagi’s contributions during his time in office, noting his role in supporting development across key sectors. He highlighted Sagagi’s involvement in strengthening political engagement, promoting religious harmony, and supporting the growth of small and medium enterprises within the state.

Despite the sudden nature of the decision, the governor wished the former commissioner success in his future endeavours and acknowledged his service to the state.
