Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has opened up about the pivotal moments that led to his return to office following a rather rough and long political standoff.

Addressing attendees at the joint 37th and 38th convocation ceremony of Rivers State University in Port Harcourt, Fubara attributed his reinstatement to divine intervention and the timely involvement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Fubara had been removed from his position for six months after a long political issue involving former governor Nyesom Wike and members of the state legislature. The impasse was eventually resolved after President Tinubu intervened, paving the way for Fubara’s return and a subsequent reconciliation with key political actors.
