Creative Blueprint 2.0 Empowers Young Women in Nigeria’s Creative Industry

The second edition of the Creative Blueprint 2.0 Masterclass held in Victoria Island Lagos last Thursday highlighted that the future of Nigeria’s creative industry depends on talent mentorship and empowerment. The event attracted young women aged 18 to 35 from across Nigeria who are determined to transform from aspiring creatives into elished professionals.

Organized by renowned filmmaker Funke Akindele the mastermind behind hits like Jenifa’s Diary Omo Ghetto The Saga and Everybody Loves Jenifa the masterclass aims to create the next generation of female leaders in the global creative space. Funke Akindele emphasized that growth does not happen by chance and that the event provides a platform for knowledge sharing mentorship and opportunity creation.

Mojisola Hunponu Wusu President of Woodhall Capital spoke on the power of mentorship describing it as infrastructure for building confidence accessing opportunities and preparing for professional challenges.

The Women in Film panel moderated by Bisola Aiyeola featured Ruth Kadiri Jade Osiberu Osas Ighodaro and Ladun Awobokun They discussed starting locally leveraging social media and the importance of mentorship. In the Women in Music session moderated by Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi Niniola and Rima Tahini Ighodaro highlighted the need for discipline strategy and networking beyond raw talent.

Speakers emphasized resilience financial literacy and deliberate action as keys to building sustainable careers. Jennifer Awirigwe known as Financial Jennifer encouraged women to participate in capital markets noting that only 2.9 percent of Nigerian women currently invest.

The Creative Blueprint 2.0 Masterclass continues to inspire and equip young women in Nigeria to take control of their careers create opportunities and make impactful contributions to the creative industry.
