Chelsea’s planned loan of striker Nicolas Jackson to Bayern Munich has been abruptly halted due to an injury to Liam Delap, another forward for the club. Jackson, 24, had arrived in Munich to undergo a medical after both clubs agreed on a loan deal worth £13 million, with an option for Bayern to buy him for £56.2 million.
The situation changed when Delap suffered a hamstring injury during Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Fulham, leading to his substitution in the 15th minute. Chelsea’s head coach Enzo Maresca expressed concern, stating, “The injury doesn’t look good. He was full speed, hamstring. It requires weeks.”
