The Agbaji Development Association has issued a strong warning to AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq over what it described as attempts to malign the family of former Senate President Bukola Saraki in relation to the ongoing Offa robbery case.

Speaking during a press conference held at Agbaji Mosque in Ilorin, Kwara State, the association described the situation as provocative and potentially dangerous. It cautioned that any further escalation of what it termed targeted actions against the Saraki family could trigger resistance from the community.

The group also accused the state government of allegedly using its influence and media platforms to damage the reputation of the Saraki family. According to the association, such actions risk deepening tensions within the Ilorin Emirate.

The controversy stems from ongoing legal proceedings in which the Kwara State Government has filed charges against former Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed and Bukola Saraki over alleged links to the Offa robbery incident. The matter is scheduled to be heard on June 24 at the Kwara State High Court.

Addressing journalists, the National Secretary of the association, Mohammed Ghali Jamiu, claimed that the case has taken on a political dimension, moving beyond the pursuit of justice.

He alleged that what is unfolding is a calculated campaign aimed at tarnishing the image of Saraki and his family, warning against the use of propaganda and political influence in handling the matter.

The association further emphasized the historical role of the Saraki family in the development of Kwara State and rejected what it described as attempts to distort that legacy through misinformation.

It concluded by stating that residents of the Ilorin Emirate are closely watching developments and would resist any coordinated effort to undermine the family’s reputation.
