The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has strongly condemned the ing of about 170 people in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, describing the as evidence of a collapse of security under the Tinubu-led Federal Government. The party warned that the country’s current security strategy appears to be spreading terror rather than defeating it.

In a statement by National Publicity Secretary Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC questioned the effectiveness of previously announced emergency security measures, including the recruitment of thousands of police officers, and demanded clarity on the true state of internal security operations.

The party linked the to broader nationwide security failures, citing abductions and ings across multiple states. It highlighted weaknesses in intelligence gathering, border management, inter-agency coordination, and emergency response systems. Abdullahi noted that vulnerable rural communities, like those in Kwara, remain exposed despite promises of improved security.
