Activist Deji Adeyanju has stirred political debate with a bold claim that former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi will ultimately support President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

In a post shared on Wednesday, Adeyanju asserted that Obi would not align with any opposition coalition seeking to challenge Tinubu’s re-election bid. He accused the former Anambra governor’s loyalists of exploiting the political movement for personal gain, branding it a “fundraising scam.”

“My prediction about 2027 is that Peter Obi will work for Bola Tinubu again,” Adeyanju wrote. “He will never agree to work with the coalition against Tinubu. Only people benefitting from the Obint fraud, and fundraising scam are still with him.”

He went further, criticizing Obi’s political strategy and dismissing his credibility. “Even the most student of politics and history can decipher what Obi is doing,” he said.

Adeyanju made it clear that he has no intention of supporting Obi under any circumstances, writing, “I will rather vote a dog than vote Obi and his political extremist supporters can go to hell for all I care.”

The remarks have sparked reactions across social media, with supporters and critics weighing in on the future of Obi’s political journey and the evolving dynamics ahead of the 2027 elections.

  • Wait, isnt it too early to predict alliances for 2027? Lets focus on the present first! #politics #predictions

  • I highly doubt that prediction will come true. Politics is so unpredictable, anything could happen by 2027!

  • Is Adeyanjus prediction just speculation or does he have inside info? Interesting twist if Obi does back Tinubu. Lets wait and see!

  • I dont buy it! Adeyanjus prediction sounds like wishful thinking. Obi and Tinubu? Stranger things have happened, I guess.
