Governor Abba Yusuf has declared that political actors in Kano State are now more united than at any other time in the state political history.

The governor made the statement while receiving members of the Ward and Local Government Congress Committee during a courtesy visit at the Government House. In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad, Yusuf noted that recent political realignments have strengthened unity among key stakeholders.

He explained that since he and several others decamped to the All Progressives Congress, more individuals have continued to join the party, leading to reconciliation among previously divided political families. According to him, old differences are gradually being resolved as leaders rally around a common vision.

The governor reiterated his position that aligning with the Federal Government is in the best interest of Kano people. He argued that such alignment would enable the state to attract greater development opportunities and avoid missing out on federal support and interventions.

Yusuf commended the Ward and Local Government Congress Committees for what he described as a successful conduct of congresses across the state. He praised their efforts in ensuring fairness and orderliness throughout the process.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Ward and Local Government Congress Committee, Mr Lantep Dabang, expressed appreciation to the governor for his leadership style and transparency in the sharing of party positions. He described Yusuf as a leader committed to integrity and justice.

The development signals a new phase in Kano political landscape as leaders seek cohesion ahead of future political engagements.
