Actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has addressed accusations made by an online fashion designer, claiming she owes millions in unpaid debts. The designer took to social media to voice frustrations, implicating Toyin Abraham, alongside Annie Idibia and Gabriel Anthony, accusing them of failing to settle debts related to a fashion transaction.

The designer’s post read, “@toyin_abraham @annieidibial @gabrielanthonys, my patience is running out already. 1 year and 2 months. How can you be with someone’s millions and feel so reluctant.” This sparked a wave of attention online, with many questioning the legitimacy of the claims.

Toyin Abraham quickly responded to the allegations on her Instagram page, describing the situation as a “complete misunderstanding” and refuting the claims as untrue. In her post, Toyin clarified the origin of the issue, explaining that the dresses in question were borrowed for a specific scene in her film, Malaika, and had been returned as agreed.

According to Toyin, the dresses were needed for a runway scene in the movie, so her production team reached out to various designers, including Tiannah, to provide the necessary outfits. Toyin explained that she also purchased a hairpiece from the designer, for which she paid in full. The dresses, however, were loaned specifically for the film and returned once the production had finished using them.

Gabriel Anthony, who was mentioned in the allegations, corroborated Toyin’s version of events. He confirmed that the dresses were returned to him and that he had informed the designer of this. Gabriel further noted that the dresses had been borrowed by someone else after their use in Malaika, clearing Toyin and himself of any financial wrongdoing.

Toyin’s detailed response seeks to dispel the narrative of unpaid debt, positioning the situation as a case of miscommunication rather than intentional avoidance of payment. She expressed disappointment over the public nature of the accusations, especially when the issue could have been resolved through direct communication.

As the story continues to unfold, the focus now shifts to the fashion designer’s next move, as Toyin Abraham and Gabriel Anthony maintain their innocence, emphasizing that the borrowed items were returned as per the agreement.
