Popular Nollywood actress and producer Laide Bakare has revealed that she will soon be getting married again, marking what she describes as her first “official” marriage despite having been married twice in the past.
The actress made the disclosure during a recent interview with content creator Akin Abolade, where she shared details about her personal life and future plans. According to her, preparations for the upcoming wedding are already in progress, although she chose not to reveal the identity of her fiancé or the exact date of the ceremony.
“I will soon be getting married officially for the first time ever,” she stated, sparking curiosity among fans and followers.
Laide Bakare’s relationship history has been widely discussed over the years. Her first marriage was to US based businessman Olumide Okufulure, with whom she shares a daughter. Following their separation, she remarried Mutairu Atanda Orilowo in 2012, and the union produced two sons.
However, her second marriage ended amid controversy after Orilowo was reportedly declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over alleged fraudulent activities.
In an earlier appearance on the Real Life With Aunty Ayo podcast, Bakare openly discussed her views on marriage, stating that she would not rule out marrying multiple times if previous relationships did not work out.
