The President of the United States Donald Trump has indicated that his administration could turn its attention to Cuba following ongoing military operations involving Iran.
Trump made the comments on Thursday at the White House during a visit by players and officials of Inter Miami CF, the 2025 Major League Soccer champions. The aunce included several people of Cuban heritage from the Miami area.
Addressing the crowd Trump said, “What’s happening with Cuba is amazing. We think that we want to fix finish this one first but that will be just a question of time before you and a lot of unbelievable people are going to be going back to Cuba hopefully not to stay.”
The remarks come amid escalating military tensions in the Middle East involving the United States, Israel, and Iran. During the event Trump provided an update on the ongoing situation, stating that American and Israeli forces were continuing their operations.
Trump also praised Marco Rubio for his role in shaping the administration’s foreign policy efforts and reiterated the importance of addressing U.S. strategic interests globally.
