Alibaba has launched new AI smart glasses in China called Quark. The range includes the S1 model and a “lifestyle-focused” G1 model. The S1 is the higher end option and uses clear micro-OLED displays. Prices begin at 3,799 yuan for the S1 and 1,899 yuan for the G1.
Both models include bone conduction microphones and built-in cameras. They feature a “swappable dual-battery system” that “delivers up to 24 hours of battery life.” The glasses use Alibaba’s AI model Qwen and pair with a companion app. Users can control them by voice or by touch.
Alibaba plans to link the glasses to its services such as Alipay and Taobao. They will also work with music apps like QQ Music and NetEase Cloud Music. Key functions include on-the-go translation, instant price recognition, navigation help, and meeting transcription.
Reports say international versions will appear next year, but the company has not named the markets. The Quark launch shows Alibaba moving into the AI wearable market with a focus on longer battery use and close ties to its services.
