A man named Basiru Hassan lost life stepping on an device believed to have been by bandits in Shiroro Local Government of Niger State. The took place around 5:00 p.m. on Monday, claiming the life of the Unguwan Hayin Jadda who had entered the Sarari-Mangoro bush to tap honey. Unaware of the danger, Hassan triggered the device, resulting in an immediate and fatal blast.

His relatives later retrieved his body and performed a burial in line with Islamic traditions. In response, security agencies have issued to local stakeholders and residents, especially in areas to bandit , urging heightened vigilance when remote paths.
