Disney’s “Zootopia 2” has seen impressive success, surpassing $100 million in global box office earnings shortly after its release on November 26, 2025. The film opened strongly with $39.5 million in North America and an additional $41.6 million from 17 international markets, totaling $81.1 million on its first day.

Notably, it achieved a groundbreaking performance in China, setting a record for the highest single-day gross by a foreign animated film with approximately $34 million. This opening marks the best for a Hollywood film in China since May 2021.

Audience reception has also been stellar, with “Zootopia 2” achieving a remarkable 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes, the highest for a Disney Animation sequel. The film is projected to continue its strong momentum over the Thanksgiving weekend, with total box office estimates reaching between $140 million and $150 million.
