The Governor of Zamfara State has urged residents to embrace unity and peace as they celebrate Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan. In a statement released on Saturday by his spokesman, Sulaiman Bala Idris, the governor extended warm felicitations to the Muslim community in Zamfara and beyond, highlighting the significance of the occasion following a month of fasting and devotion.
In his message, the governor said: “My dear Muslim brothers and sisters in Zamfara State and beyond, I extend the compliments of the season and my heartfelt congratulations as we mark the end of the year 1446 AH Ramadan fast.” He emphasized that Ramadan has been a period of profound reflection, sacrifice, and commitment to Allah, urging citizens to carry forward its lessons of discipline, patience, and generosity into the Eid celebrations and beyond.
Acknowledging the state’s challenges, he called for collective effort and cooperation, stating, “The challenges before us are enormous and require us to set aside our differences, work together as one people, and support the government‘s agenda for rescuing and rebuilding our dear state.” This plea underscores his administration’s focus on addressing Zamfara’s pressing issues, including security and development, through unified action.
