Former Yahaya Bello has declared his unwavering support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, describing the effort as a personal mission.
Bello made the declaration while receiving members of the pro-Tinubu support group, Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN) Movement, at his residence in Abuja. He reaffirmed his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress, highlighting that the party provided his first political opportunity, which led to his election and re-election as governor, as well as the emergence of his successor, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, and other elected officials in Kogi State since 2016.
Bello assured the movement of his readiness to work with Seyi Tinubu and RTIFN members to secure electoral victories in upcoming polls. The group’s leaders explained that the movement was established to mobilise citizens, educate grassroots communities on government policies, promote the Renewed Hope agenda, counter misinformation, and strengthen support for the President’s programmes ahead of the next general elections.
National Coordinator of RTIFN, Ambassador Ahmed Bala, commended Bello for his contributions to both the party and national development, describing him as a dependable pillar in strengthening APC’s structure in the North Central region. Bello was subsequently appointed North Central Patron to coordinate mobilisation efforts.
Other RTIFN leaders present included National Secretary Ambassador Felix Arome, National Deputy Director of Contact and Mobilisation Hajiya Aishat Oyiza Omade, National Publicity Secretary Musa Abdulrahaman, and Rt. Hon. David Idris Zakariya, alongside other national and state executives of the movement.
