Asake’s “Why Love” emerged as the most-streamed song in Nigeria, marking a pivotal moment in his career. Released under his independent label, Giran Republic, the song achieved a number-one hit, making it one of the few Nigerian tracks to do so from an independent label and illustrating Asake’s growing significance in the industry.

In the Top Albums category, Davido’s “5ive” and Asake’s “Lungu Boy” came in second and third, respectively, with additional entries from BNXN and Burna Boy completing the top five.
