The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike has issued a strong warning to Nigerian politicians particularly second term governors federal lawmakers and other political leaders cautioning them against aligning with what he described as betrayers. According to Wike such alliances carry grave consequences guided by what he termed a message from the gods.

The minister delivered the warning on Saturday during the commissioning of the Rivers State Renewed Hope Ambassadors headquarters in Port Harcourt. Speaking forcefully Wike directed his remarks at leaders seeking to install successors while allegedly supporting acts of political disloyalty. He warned that betrayal would inevitably return to those who encourage or protect it.

Wike who is currently locked in a prolonged political feud with his successor in Rivers State said that betrayal follows a spiritual law of karma. He claimed that those backing betrayers would soon experience the same fate in their personal and political lives.

He stated that whether one is a senator a member of the House of Representatives a minister or a governor supporting betrayal would result in repeated disloyalty. According to him such individuals would eventually be rendered powerless and speechless when the tables turn against them.

The former Rivers State governor said that while his own successor took several months before turning against him others who are now supporting betrayers would face rebellion much sooner. He warned second term governors planning to anoint successors that they would not survive the consequences of such decisions.

Wike claimed that his message was not merely political but spiritual saying it was revealed to him by the gods of the land. He urged politicians to take the warning seriously and view current political events as consequences of past actions.

He further stressed that loyalty is both a moral and spiritual duty adding that betrayal would follow those who break this code wherever they go. Wike concluded by stating that the facilities commissioned including a radio station and situation room would serve supporters of President Bola Tinubu Renewed Hope agenda contrasting them with those he described as unfaithful.
