Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike has declared that the ongoing wave of infrastructure development across Abuja satellite towns will make it extremely difficult for any opposition candidate to defeat Bola Tinubu in the Federal Capital Territory during the 2027 elections.

Speaking during an inspection of key road projects in Karu, the Apo Karshi axis, Gwagwalada and Kubwa, Wike said the current administration has transformed areas once considered inaccessible into functional road networks. According to him, the scale of development has reshaped public perception and strengthened support for the government.

Wike noted that residents of the Federal Capital Territory are witnessing infrastructure improvements they have never experienced before, adding that such visible impact would significantly influence voter decisions. He credited the Renewed Hope agenda of the Tinubu administration for restoring confidence and improving living conditions.

The minister emphasized that the government is deliberately shifting focus away from concentrating development solely in the city centre. Instead, it is expanding quality infrastructure into rural communities and satellite towns to stimulate economic growth and reduce migration pressure on the capital.

He highlighted improved connectivity as a major benefit, explaining that residents from areas like Kuje can now commute to the city within a much shorter time frame, boosting productivity and convenience for workers.

Wike also revealed that several of the projects are being expedited for commissioning as part of activities marking the president third year in office. He concluded that the positive response from residents reflects the administration impact and growing public satisfaction.
