Wike Directs IBB Golf Club Interim Management Committee to Start Work Immediately

On Sunday, 27, 2025, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, directed the newly appointed Interim Management Committee of the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) Golf Club in Abuja to commence operations immediately, as reported by Post, Leadership, and The Nation. Wike emphasized the FCT Administration’s ownership of the club, clarifying, “It is not privatized,” and urged the committee to reposition the club to its former international stature, as noted in Telegraph and National Accord. The club, named after former military President Ibrahim Babangida, has faced operational crises, prompting Wike’s intervention to deterioration.
