UN Security Council Prolongs Counter-Terrorism Mandate for Another Year

The United Nations Security Council has unanimously adopted Resolution 2810 (2025), which extends the mandate of the Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED) until January 5, 2029. Established in March 2004, CTED is crucial in supporting the Security Council’s Counter-Terrorism Committee (CTC) by assessing the implementation of important resolutions aimed at combating terrorism.
