The United Nations has reported continued civilian evacuations and extensive infrastructure damage across active conflict zones in Ukraine, as hostilities persist and humanitarian needs deepen.
In its latest briefing, UN humanitarian officials said thousands of residents have been moved from frontline communities in eastern and southern regions due to intensified shelling and drone strikes. Evacuation corridors are being coordinated with local authorities, though security conditions remain volatile and unpredictable.
According to field assessments, critical infrastructure including power stations, water systems and residential buildings has sustained significant damage in recent weeks. Aid agencies warn that repeated strikes on energy facilities have disrupted heating and electricity supplies during winter conditions, placing vulnerable populations at heightened risk.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said humanitarian convoys continue to deliver food, medical supplies and emergency shelter materials where access permits. However, damaged roads and security threats have complicated relief efforts in several districts.
Civilians account for a large share of those affected by the fighting. Humanitarian partners report rising cases of displacement, with families seeking refuge in neighboring regions or relying on temporary shelters.
