The United Kingdom has announced a new set of targeted sanctions against individuals and entities accused of involvement in serious violations linked to the ongoing conflict in Sudan. British authorities said the measures are intended to hold accountable those responsible for abuses against civilians and to increase pressure for a peaceful resolution to the crisis.

According to official statements the sanctions include asset freezes and travel restrictions aimed at figures believed to have played key roles in violence obstruction of humanitarian access and destabilization of civilian governance structures.
