Former President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that United States military strikes had sunk nine Iranian naval vessels and partially destroyed Iran’s navy headquarters. Speaking on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump described the attacks as significant and ongoing.

“I have just been informed that we have destroyed and sunk nine Iranian Naval Ships, some of them relatively large and important,” Trump said. “We are going after the rest—they will soon be floating at the bottom of the sea, also!”

In addition to targeting the naval vessels, Trump claimed that the US military had largely destroyed Iran’s Naval Headquarters, describing the strikes as part of a broader effort to weaken Iran’s maritime capabilities. He added, however, somewhat paradoxically, that “other than that, their Navy is doing very well!”

The remarks come amid escalating tensions between the United States, Israel, and Iran, following a series of coordinated strikes on Iranian military targets. Reports indicate that the attacks involved naval bases, strategic facilities, and leadership installations, leading to casualties among Iranian forces, though exact figures remain contested.

Trump’s statements highlight the ongoing rhetoric and military posturing surrounding the conflict, raising concerns about further escalation in the region. The strikes and claims have drawn global attention as world leaders call for restraint, dialogue, and efforts to prevent the situation from spiraling into wider conflict.

As international observers monitor developments, the US continues to assert military dominance while framing the strikes as precise operations aimed at neutralizing key Iranian military assets. Analysts note that these developments could have significant implications for regional stability and global energy security.
